According to Stonebwoy, he knows for a fact that if the award show had not been truncated and had gone on as planned, he would have won ‘Artiste of the Year’ hands down.
According to Stonebwoy, he spent Ghc 50,000 on airtime which he shared to fans to vote for him.
“…I bought votes around GHc50,000. I know I’m just being real. I bought credit (airtime) to share. Like GHc50,000. I’m not even kidding.
“It was hands down. If you ask them, they know I deserved Artiste of the Year by votes, by merit and by work,” Stonebwoy said.
The dancehall star also revealed Charterhouse took back the money they paid for his performance on the night even though he had spent some of it already getting ready for the show.
“You have already spent on a $1000 suit and customised shoe. When you check my shoe, my name is always customised on there for every VGMA,” Stonebwoy said.
“They should have considered some of these things….” he added.
The 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards was truncated after the camps of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale got into an altercation which ended with Stonebwoy pulling a gun onstage!
