Controversial musician and political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus has exposed what he alleges to be serious misuse of funds at the Ghana Music Rights Organization led by veteran musician Rex Omar.
A-Plus posted a portion of what he alleges to be financial statements of GHAMRO, highlighting some absurd financial decisions.
He wrote in part, “Telephone and Communication and Internet” what is that? You are claiming that you spent over 70.000 Ghana cedis on that? If Ghamro were your company which is not making a profit will you spend over 2.900.00 Ghana cedis every month on Telephone Communication and Internet?
You spent 51 thousand (five hundred million) on PRINTING in 2018 and 30 thousand (three hundred million) on same in 2017. Borga, how much does bank of Ghana spend printing Ghana cedis? This same Rex Omar and the people at GHAMRO spend over 20000 on health and staff WELFARE while copyright owners go to bed hungry or sick with nobody to care about their WELFARE. We are not joking with you Rex. Stop the “takashie” and render a better account to the people”.
