We all have a past— things about us, pictures of us some years ago that we are not entirely proud to show to the entire world because we have outgrown them and we look so much better now.
Self-acclaimed queen of comedy is no different. Afia Schwar has taken time to explain why she looked the way she did in her infamous picture.

According to her, the picture dates as far back as 12 years ago when she had just lost her husband at 26 years old.
She says she was going to a kid’s birthday party and the theme of the event had her looking like that.
Afia says she is posting the picture herself to let the world know she is not embarrassed about it at all.
Afia says there are lots of lessons in that single picture and that is never allow yourself be a victim of your circumstance.
She wrote;
“This picture was me 12 years ago at a 1-year-old Pookie’s theme party …I posted it myself. ( so guys don’t think for a sec I am embarrassed when I see it…naaa)This was just 12 years ago, I was just a 26 years old new widow looking for my feet to rise……the other pic was me yesterday.
“The moral of this story is to move…don’t be defined by what happened to you…Don’t remain a victim to your circumstances…Just Move cos Success is waiting ahead!!!! Enter 2021 with a mindset of a winner. Good morning.”
