It has been revealed that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie is the plug who connected sensational musician Black Sherif to the international market.
A UK-Based risk jockey DJ Semtex made this known on his show that Sarkodie, while on tour to promote his No Pressure album, introduced Black Sherif to a lot of industry players overseas.
DJ Semtek said that in 2021, he had Sarkodie as a guest on his Hip Hop Raised Me podcast when he was asked about any artist who resonated with him at that moment.

Sarkodie replied; “There’s a kid in Ghana here called Black Sherif, I need to put you on. Just right from this interview, you need to go check him out.”
He spent time talking about Black Sherif and how he (Sarkodie) loves the young rapper’s passion and energy, Calling Black Sherif an artist “out of this world”.
DJ Semtex took to his official social media pages a year on to reminisce how Sarkodie introduced him and other industry players in the UK to Black Sherif.

The DJ was vibing to Black Sherif’s debut album and played a couple of songs off The Villain I Never Was on his radio show on Capital Xtra.
His social media post read: “Exactly 1 year ago this week @Sarkodie said “Semtex, I need to put you on to @blacksherif_ “ I’ve been paying attention & playing Black Sherif’s music ever since.”
