OBS: 47 Illegal Chinese & Indian Miners Busted In Ghana | The Question Is; How Did They Get In?

How did all these people enter Ghana? I am sure someone must have facilitated their entry—purposely to come and mine illegally…

I was told a disturbing story of Chinese miners who took Ghanaians hostage in their own country so they can force these Ghanaians at gunpoint to mine, cook and wash for them…

Interestingly, the police did nothing about this since the foreigners had managed to buy their conscience.

Apart from subjecting Ghanaians to inhumane treatment in their own country, these illegal foreign miners are destroying our vegetation, landscape and water bodies without permission…

A foreigner dare try this in China or India, yet they continue to do this in Ghana!

According to The Ghanaian Times;

A total of 47 foreign nationals have been rounded up by the presidential task-force against illegal mining at Dunkwa-on-Offin, in the Central Region.

Those arrested included Chinese and Indian nationals.A search conducted revealed a substance suspected to be cocaine on one of the Chinese.The foreigners were arrested in their hotel in the early hours of Tuesday.

Yesterday, I sat at the campus Café to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate as I went through my E-mails on my laptop at University of Leicester.

The morning had been stormy and pretty cold, an indication that the winter is really going to freeze our hands out here in the United Kingdom.

As I sipped the next round of my hot chocolate, a beautiful black woman approached my table beaming with smile—walking slow, probably struggling to cope with the heavy books she was carrying in her bag pack.

You could see she had been walking in the windy cold weather for some time since her eyes were watery—and her face was very dry.

Just a few yards away from me, she kindly asked if she could sit next to me just by the window. It is a Café and people can surely occupy empty seats around the same table so I quickly answered; sure why not!

After unloading her bag pack, she brought out a book which I know very well from my undergraduate law studies—Law of Tort by Cooke. Before she asked if I could keep an eye on her stuff so she can get a cup of tea, I told myself she must be an undergrad in her first year, studying Law.

On her return and both of us looking straight into the windows where the wind was making its noisy sketch on the park, we talked about how bad the days ahead will be. And how much it will be a pain to wake up in winter to come for morning lectures…

Within few minutes of the ‘weather talks’, the conversation got personal and I got to know this woman as Olivia who lives on campus…

Report say, Chris Brown’s attorney-Mark Geragos, Mom and GF-Karrueche dropped him off at a facility in Malibu where he will be working on his anger management…

Chris Brown flew to L.A. after getting released from the D.C. jail and met with L.A. County Probation Department officials who will determine if Brown violated his probation in the Rihanna case after allegedly punching a guy in the nose over the weekend which landed him in jail.

POLITRICKS OF THE DAY: MP Says ‘Regulate and Tax Prostitution in Ghana!’ | Do You Agree?

This is how low we have sunk as an African country with morals and dignity. Is this where we have reached? Politicians do not even care where tax comes from anymore; they simply want it in their spending pool. However they will strategize to squeeze money out of Ghanaians so they can squander it, they will do!

The Member of Parliament for Obuasi Akrofuom, Kwabena Appiah Pinkrah says prostitution is a major source of employment and as long as people earn some form of income from practising it, the vice should be regulated so that government can generate revenue from it.

I wonder what this MP will say if his daughter becomes a prostitute. Encourage her and tax her to give revenue to the state? I am disgusted…

What kind of people do we have leading us? Such careless and selfish talk can only come from our African leaders…

Samsung To Replace Damaged Note 3 Handsets Through Samsung Premium

Samsung Electronics West Africa has announced that they will replace the handsets of note 3 customers who accidentally damage their screens through breakage or liquid damage for free.

According to the Business Leader for Handheld Products at Samsung Ghana, Jaspreet Singh, Samsung have listened to the market and to ensure that they continue to drive innovation, choice and value to their consumers, they have created an ecosystem focused on ensuring the future viability of their customers’ investment and security thus the Samsung Premium for Note 3 which includes the ADH Premium which is available to customers who have registered on the Samsung Premium through the ADH Application.

ADH Premium is an enhancement to the current ADH offering which gives Note 3 customers an additional Smart swap. This elite service for Note 3 consumers allows users to use the ADH premise but instead of two repair claims over the 24 month period, consumers who accidentally damage the screen of their Note 3will have it replaced twice over the period. To sign up for the service, Note 3 users are required to download the Samsung Premium ADH application from the Samsung App Store on their device and register.

“At Samsung we are about creating a smarter lifestyle, one area that we are consistently focused on is service and creating a worry-free environment for our customers so that they have every confidence that their purchase and investment is protected,” said Jaspreet Singh.

If you think your religion is supreme and only you and your religious group members are heading to heaven/paradise, whiles the others are definitely going to hell or nowhere, close this article…It is not for people like you. In fact, I dislike people like you who think a group they belong are inherently supreme to others and do not make real effort to understand the dealings of others…

Religion is a dicey subject and as such, many people avoid discussing it. Many of us are experts in our own Religions and are confident that we are on the right path. If our group is on the right path in a world where we have right or wrong, where are the other groups heading?

We have millions of books and holy writings to back our assumptions and claims of belonging to the right Religious group; I mean the one God says it is right for His children…

What most of us lack is the strength to consider and understand the Religious practices and preaching of others. We have the best and yet we do not even know about what lies behind our walls. I am not sure how we got to know we are in the best since we have not sufficiently and objectively compared or given that of the others the necessary attention.

God is practically, conceptually and imaginably difficult to understand. The mind of God can never be understood. And this is because, God does not directly deal with us, we deal with our selves. He deals with us through mankind.

To understand the mind of God, we must understand and appreciate the minds of others, especially those who do not belong to our Religious group. Instead of us embracing the principle of unity in diversity, when it comes to Religion, we seem to entrench diversity with trivial assumptions and proclamation.

What Religion do you belong to?

It is true that some will find God even if they are brought up in a remote part of the world. However, the Religious group we belong to is heavily influenced by geography-like it or not. If you are a Christian reading this, get this right…If you were born in Saudi Arabia, the probability that you would have been a Muslim is far higher than being what you are today.

Apart from the fact that this is totally disgusting, it was also done with no class. Then again, if Selly Galley of Big Brother fame had no shame in ‘banging’ another man on live TV, what makes us think she has heard of the words-morality and decency?

The sad part of this is that, her man was at Juliet Ibrahim’s premiere on Friday with her—where she wore the above dress, putting on display her underwear. And he dare say a word…
