The biggest musical concert on the Ghanaian Entertainment calendar-the annual ‘Tigo Ghana Meets Naija’ will return this year on Saturday, 21st May at the Accra International Conference Centre to serve music lovers with great performances from some of Africa’s best and trending musicians.
This year’s ‘Tigo Ghana Meets Naija’ concert is dubbed; “Battle of the Tribes”—-based on the fact that the musicians representing Ghana and Nigeria have been grouped as a tribe, ready to battle for supremacy.
Ghana’s tribal assault on Nigeria will be led by the only current potent candidate, the King of dancehall-Shatta Wale, with Nigeria’s Flavour also leading his tribesmen.

The 5th edition of Ghana meets Naija came off on May 23, 2015. The annual event which is powered by Empire Entertainment attracted several Ghanaians and Nigerians, as well as other foreigners to the Accra International Conference Center where the event took place.

Undoubtedly, Tigo Ghana meets Naija is the biggest and most patronised musical event on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar.

Tickets were sold out and as such, every seat in the auditorium was occupied. Even though we streamed the program live on GhanaCelebrities.Com, we did capture some of the fun moments for you.

Yesterday, the Mavins led by Don Jazzy flew into Ghana from Nigeria for the friendly musical rivalry which will cause a ‘shut down’ at the Conference Centre tonight—and only a caveman will miss this experience.

Backing the above top Ghanaian musicians are MzVee, Nero X, Dobble, Keche, Galaxy, Ruff N Smooth and others. It can’t get any better than this and you wouldn’t find this musical experience anywhere else again.

The biggest concert for the year 2015, Tigo Ghana Meets Naija comes off on Saturday, May 23 at the Accra International Conference Center where three of Ghana’s biggest acts, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy will face Nigeria’s Mavin Crew.

After 4 successful shows in the previous years, this year’s event dubbed “Unleashing Unlimited Music” promises to be the biggest as the event celebrates its 5^th year.

Sarkodie

Known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie is arguably one of Ghana’s finest talents on the bloc. He is a recording artist, entertainer, and brand ambassador. In 2012, he won the BET Awards for “Best International Act Africa”. Many Ghanaians recognize him as one of the Ghana’s leading hip hop and hip life artiste in the country.

Let me be a little mischievous here even though I am not going off the facts, the organisers of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards-Charter House could not pay Shatta Wale his performance fees to perform at the 2014 VGMAs and at the 2015 VGMAs too, they had big issues with Sarkodie because they couldn’t meet his fees.

What’s interesting is that, this year’s Tigo Ghana Meets Naija mega concert set for 23^rd May, 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre will have the above artistes performing alongside Stonebwoy. Certainly, it must have been bank breaking to pull all the 3 winners of the most important artiste of the year award onto one stage when pulling just one was impossible for others to do..

If you do not seize this opportunity to have that once in a lifetime experience of good music from the best artistes we have, then you surely will forever regret it.

5th Edition of Tigo Ghana Meets Naija Launched │ Check Out the Various Artistes Representing Both Countries

The biggest musical concert on the event’s calendar, Ghana Meets Naija returns in its fifth year, with an even bigger and more exciting package for music fans in both Ghana and Nigeria.

Following a sponsorship deal with telecom company Tigo, this year’s event has been branded as “Tigo Ghana Meets Naija”.

The 5th edition under the theme: “Unleashing Unlimited Music” is slated for Saturday, 23rd May 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The concert will feature performances from Ghana’s triple threat Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Bhim nation’s finest Stoneboy.

Also coming in from Nigeria will be the 7-man army Mavins, who will be making their first appearance on a Ghanaian stage and will be expected to thrill with their numerous hits including “Adaobi and Dorobucci” which is currently a dance staple.

Speaking at the media launch in Accra, the General Manager of Empire Group of Companies, Ms Laillah Crystal Banda stated that “this year will be even more spectacular and is suret o give music fans an experience to truly relish.”

“The fervour with which the Ghana Meets Naija vision was realised in our first edition still shines through as we celebrate 5 years of bringing you a premium entertainment experience. All patrons will have a story to tell after they indulge in this years event, Tigo Ghana Meets Naija 2015.”
