Eight gay Ghanaians in Canada are planning to petition to Canadian government to put pressure on Ghana to recognize the rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bis*xual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) members of our country.
According to the group, Ghanaian LGBTQ members are treated worse than animals and is calling for Canada to exert diplomatic pressure on Ghana to recognize their rights.

A woman in Saudi Arabia was arrested for wearing what many in the Kingdom describe as a ‘mini-skirt’ but which sane people everywhere else call a skirt.
A video circulating online of the woman, wearing the skirt, a crop top and without her hair covered, sparked outrage as many complained she was violating the Kingdom’s strict laws on dressing and morality.

OccupyGhana has condemned the actions of the principal of the Gushegu Midwifery Midwifery Training School, where a pregnant student was stopped from writing exams due to her condition.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba, has said she’s taking the issue of assault against a Ghanaian Marwako employee ‘seriously’ and outlined measures to take action on the incident.

Evelyn Boakye, who worked at the restaurant, allegedly had her face dipped in pepper by a supervisor, Lebanese citizen Jihad Chaabn, who happens to be brother in law to the restaurant’s owner.

The company has been getting nothing but bad press since the story broke, especially with the foreigner assaulting a Ghanaian angle, so they have to do something about the issue.

Outrageous news out of Marwako in La as a female employee is mercilessly assaulted by her Lebanese supervisor over a seemingly trivial issue.

The employee, Evelyn Boakye, was held down and had her face rubbed in raw, blended pepper, by Jihad Thaabn, her Lebanese supervisor who is also the brother-in-law of the restaurant’s owner.
