I have travelled around the world and my recent trip to China taught me how much the Chinese loves everything in and from the West, but not to the desertion of their identity, especially language.

There is a new generation of Chinese who are excited about English and are hungrily learning English on the back of globalization but what’s undisputable is the fact that the Chinese will perfectly learn to speak and write their local language before taking up the challenge to do the same with English.

I have received over 10 messages from people, mostly women, claiming that John Dumelo married his new wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu because of her political connections with the NDC.
I do not want to dispute this since that could have contributed to John settling down with this particular lady, over the many others who claim to have been in a relationship with him.

A lot of Ghanaian single and unmarried women have become so pathetic—and they take every comment in relation to marriage as an attack on them or to mean they are less of human beings.
It’s shocking: because most of these same people claim marriage is nothing, it’s not worth it or they are happy being single. If these are true, then why be bothered about any comment in relation to marriage or be offended by such?

I do not want to call our Ghanaian leaders stupid or wicked—I will just tell you what’s happening, and I believe if you are a reasonable person, you would come to a conclusion that makes one of these words a perfect fit.

President Nana Akufo-Addo had passed comments to the effect that the University of Ghana was founded by his uncle, the late J.B Danquah, and coming on the heels of the renaming of the University of Professional Studies after its founder, it was speculated that the government could be considering renaming the university after J.B Danquah.

The Grand Jury of the prestigious Golden Movie Awards (GMA), an award scheme aimed at celebrating and honoring excellence in Africa’s growing film industry, met with a section of the Ghanaian Press at the Aqua Safari resort in Ada earlier today, April 21, 2018.

The press conference was held to give the media further insight into the workings of the 2018 Grand Jury that has been sitting for long hours for almost a week, screening and scoring this year’s submitted films. It’s not even a question that Ghanaians can be quite hypocritical when dealing with the dead versus the living. Since Ebony’s death many people have pointed out that the same people who slammed her nonstop when she was alive are now the same ones writing amazing things about her simply because she’s dead.
It’s also easy to spot that in the larger Ghanaian society as well, as families spend thousands of cedis to hold funerals for dead people who probably could not get a Ghc 100 cedi loan from those same people when they were alive.
